What a whirlwind week it’s been. We’ve had a steady stream of company, including our eldest daughter, Charron, who flew in from Vancouver for a visit. Our youngest daughter, Amanda, and her husband, Brian, also drove in from Burlington.
We’ve shared a wonderful dinner on a lakeside patio and long, easy conversations in the garden. For both occasions, we were joined by our son Peter and his partner Nate, who live nearby.
As far as I’m concerned, nothing in the world brings me more pleasure—or more pure joy—than spending time with our family. The week’s warmth and connection inspired this poem.
With love,
Barbara Bury
