Dear friends,
From time-to-time life throws us unexpected firebombs. One of these landed on me last week. I fell on the street, cracking my head on the payment and twisting my knee. Fortunately, there was a policeman across the street. He immediately called the paramedics, and I was taken by ambulance to the hospital. There, I was given a CT scan. As it turned out, and the only damage to my noggin was a wonderous shiner that has our neighbors wondering about my husband. It has been a challenging week, and I have written a poem to remind myself that setbacks are necessary for reminding us of life’s wonders.
Cheers,
Barbara Bury
