Dear friends,
This has been a challenging summer. Three weeks ago, I had a fall and, at my age, the recovery rate of an aging body is excruciatingly slow. I miss the weekends of hiking with my husband using our Nordic sticks. I miss being able to deadhead the roses in our garden. It is sad to realize that this summer I will be sidelined, watching from the window as the world moves on without my full participation. I’m trying to stay positive and focus on healing, but I truly miss our adventures and the simple joys of being active outdoors.
I’m sending all my love,
Barbara Bury
